Campaign '04 - The Fight to Cure Voter Ignorence

Vote or die! Vote or bust!
Get out and Vote! You have to! You must!
A chorus of college kids eager to exercise
The right they were given to believe media lies
They criticize, but on what premise? What they heard on the news?
The hype, the spin, the propaganda, channels express their owner's views
Too many people have uneducated opinions, they just don't know the facts
They hear, they see, and hence they do, on instinct they react
Common sense abandoned, reason far from sight
Ignorance breads ignorance, and being with the masses doesn't make you right
A right for which we died long ago, we fought for it, we the people
It has now become a right to preach unintelligibly under TV's steeple
Members of the church of the media generation, as fake as "reality" TV
The constituents are you and I, and the gods are the CEOs of major companies
So write an amendment to your Constitution before you say "Vote or die!"
To educate yourself and overcome ignorance and next time vote knowing "Why?"
