Heart On My Sleeve

written by: Tigressarah

I'm fun to hang out with, good to sleep with,

But never good enough to be with.

Same old story, same old line,

and of course I smile and say I'm fine.

When I look at me, I always find fault,

Wish I could lock my heart in a vault.

Out of reach, out of play,

Save it for another day.

Broken and battered and shattered and torn,

I can't believe the sorrow its borne,

And yet again, it reaches for

The perfect love once more.

When will I learn to keep it off my sleeve,

And save myself from all that grief.

Somewhere, out there, he's waiting for me,

That special someone, who's everything I'll be :)
