Lotus Fades as You Squeeze Tight Your Hand Grenade

written by: OurSacredHonor

Self-destructive tendencies
Self constructed fallacies
Blatant abnormalities
Have led me to believe
That this lie you built around me
Now has managed to surround me
And with those words you bound me
Make me wish you hadn't found me

Ever at all
I'll never call your name again
I'll watch you fall
I'll never be the same again

Sing me the serenade of a grenade pin
Falling to the ground
Let the shattered fragments of shrapnel skull
Be scattered all around
Clenched tight between your teeth
Just like my heart, you couldn't let go
I can't say that I didn't warn you
I guess I told you so

Beauty like the rose
Comes only when in season
Spring won't last forever
You better learn to reason
If you wish take my advice
"Enjoy it while it lasts"
Cuz before long you will see
That your time will have passed

You by
You never took the time to even notice
Goodbye
You'll fade from your bright colors of the lotus

Sing me the serenade of a grenade pin
Falling to the ground
Let the shattered fragments of shrapnel skull
Be scattered all around
Clenched tight between your teeth
Just like my heart, you couldn't let go
I can't say that I didn't warn you
I guess I told you so
