You Live a Life Without the 'F' (Now that 'F' Stands for Fraud)

Best friends will always make the best of enemies
Friendly fire's not so friendly when down their scope it's you they see
I'll be lying where you left me, here in my shallow grave
Next to all your unknown real friends because we tried to be brave
We stood up for you when you wavered, and started to slip off track
But the second that our eyes were turned you slipped the knife into our backs
Watch the passer-bys all rubberneck
While staring at this train wreck
If I'm lucky you'll survive
And I won't make it out alive
Derailed like the sense of direction in your li(f)e
But nothing had better direction than your knife
As it eased down the arch, broke the skin on my back
Too swift to even flinch, too quick for me to react
The twist as you pull out is every sign that I don't matter
And if it's me vs. them then I know you'll always choose the latter
You don't trust me farther than you throw yourself at their feet
Your li(f)e's still the same, but you're not to blame, your transformation is complete
So walk that road you've chosen, I hope you're miserable and alone
Just realize that the place you left was the place you could've called home
But what difference would that make now? It's not like you would care
Too lost to listen, to know what you're missing, I said "I'd always be there"
For "you" that is, but you're not "you" anymore
So to you I'll be gone cause you're not who you were before
Remember these choices and don't act like you don't know
What you're doing is wrong even if you don't think so
Now, go on and forget me, yeah just go on and forget it
Because I've got an "I told you so" saved for when you'll regret it
I dare you to try to look me in the eyes
Tell me that you don't care and as you walk away don't cry
I hope you cry your eyes out so I don't have to cross them out with my pen
In every picture I have of you so I won't ever have to see them again
And for each match I strike I strike you out
Until finally we're both burnt out
And hopefully, you're burnt to the ground
Live your li(f)e knowing I won't be around
