Spring Eulogy

written by: OurSacredHonor

So you say
That this boy
Broke your heart
Well that's okay
Because
I know where to start

It was a cold and bitter winter
And I know
That the frost still hangs from your lips
The story goes and then it's over
So we go
And now we're left with loveless fingertips

we'll throw a funeral party for your heart
and dance on it's grave till the flowers grow
a garden in death finds its start
this is a eulogy so all will know
that flowers look funny upside-down
and so does your pretty face wearing that frown
so get back up turn that smile back around
we'll all be okay because it's spring now

We'll make our way
From this here
Graveyard
And then we'll say
That we knew it
All along

We've got a bright and budding future
And we know
That the dew still hangs from our lips
The story goes, it's never over
So we go
We've got the world in lovely fingertips

we'll throw a funeral party for your heart
and dance on it's grave till the flowers grow
a garden in death finds its start
this is a eulogy so all will know
that flowers look funny upside-down
and so does your pretty face wearing that frown
so get back up turn that smile back around
we'll all be okay because it's spring now
