Goodnight, My Darling

There are no words that can express
The extent of your loveliness
I guess that I could always say
It takes my very breath away
But still there is so much more
I cannot begin to reach the core
For whenever I can talk to you
My heart is filled with joy, so true
But when I wait for your reply
I feel as if I could die
You fill the empty void inside
To fill before, I have tried
But you have filled it so complete
No one else can dare compete
So I wrote this just to say
I think about you all the day
And at night when I'm asleep
Your memory I shall keep
So goodnight my darling, good rest to you
And we shall talk before tomorrow is through
