What is love? Is it just the love we know? The love that we place on specific things, people or objects just to fill the void we feel.
Is there more to love? More than just the words we say to make ourselves feel of worth? Just the words we say to make ourselves and others around is like we belong, like we have a purpose?
What is true love? The extra something that is more than the strong likeness, more than the compassion, but the passion? The secret ingredient to a picture perfect, one hundred percent, happy life.
But if we can't even recognize love itself in these blinding times, who's to say we can feel it? If we can't even tell ourselves what love is, how on earth are we supposed to show it? Our view of love has become so distorted we can't even recognize it, much less discern love versus what true love is?
P.S. - If we can't even discern love from hatred, how are we supposed to see the dividing lines between good and evil? How are we supposed to understand our true feelings?

I understand completely! I love that you call it your pathetic plea... it's saying you know that what you need is weak, but you need it anyway... you need to take strength from someone else even if it isn't "real"
