Resonating Tiger

written by: mzprofound

Your living in a world of fantasy-clouding your mind and your lungs,
Your just trying to unwind

You let the smoke singe your throat for a lack of having any words,
You put your mind at ease

Restraining your own growth by masking your self-loathing,
You feel the stress float away with your excuses for another day

Your looking for the root to your unhappiness outside of yourself,
When the rage comes from within' where you lack self control

Your body's numb, your mind is racing or maybe its paused or muted.
Your looking for the meaning of life in a fantasy away from reality.

There is a tiger that resonates in you, surging through your veins,
Thriving to the spikes in your pulse and the fire that burns inside

Moments you feel you could self combust-engulfed in your rage,
Prolific with its intensity and its course sporadically uncontrolled

It is in these moments you are left with only animal instinct,
No logic will prevail during these hostile realities.

You daze off, times elapses without you noticing-it was painless,
Until one day you wake up and realize you were living in a dream.

For I have a tiger in me too, and what I see in you is a mirror of me.
You don't deserve my words, I woke up because I deserve my words.
