A Wanting For Life

When I woke up, I began to cry,
Because of thoughts of suicide.
These thoughts have lingered for way too long.
How can I stop them from carrying on?

I give my love to everyone else,
Always forgetting to love myself.
Trying so hard to fit in and even impress,
People who themselves are a mess.

I pray and I pray, I pray so much more,
Because I want to love the me whose so good and sometimes pure.
Help me Lord, make these thoughts go away,
Because here on earth is where I want to stay.
