take a hit

written by: emmad802

The smoke
sleep walks
Through a frozen tongue and parted lips
Her life turns into an aquatic dream,
Arms floating
from her sides, up
To her wild roaring hair.
Her vertebra sway
Like seaweed, hips
Shifting in and out of gears.
Bare feet
lock into position, toes dancing
To the Caribbean beat.
Color wheel eyes rest again
And she can see
the smoke rise within
Her body as she pulls though teeth
relaxed
Out of their normal position
of a smile.
Her moving body gasps as it rests in a desert,
Inhaling smooth dry ice of air
She exhales, and begins to swim again.
