Senses

written by: choloepus

I can feel the night.
Slowly wrapping itself around me.
Like a cold, damp swathe
Comforting me...unwinding.

I can see the darkness.
Playing its tricks on me.
Hiding you in its shadows
Frightful, playful.

I can feel your soul
As I pull my thoughts to yours
Understanding your pain,
Trying to soothe your heart

I can see your love
Drawing you away from me.
But your eyes cannot avert mine.
And glimpse of passion draws you nearer

I can hear your heartbeat...quicken
In anticipation of our touch.
For I have pulled you in my senses
Awakened your being.

I can smell your fear,
Heartbeat
I can feel your fervour
Eyes close

Our lips touch softly
The night stands still
The stars are closed
The air is silent

Life unleashes a furry
As the beats of our thoughts
Mixes with the music of our feelings
And sets it all free

Can you feel the night?
Can you see the darkness?
For I am part of you now.
Attached to you forever.
