Good-Bye Dear Friend

Is it true?
Are you really gone?
For good?

How could you just give up?
Didn't you know I love you?
To lose you is to lose my heart.

Why didn't you talk to me?
Why didn't I try harder..
How could this be.

Here one day,
Gone the next.
Like you never even existed.

But you did,
You helped me survive.
But now your gone.

Should I suffer the same fate?
With out you I have no strength.
I should have done more.

I can't believe I won't hear your pleasant laugh,
Or see your vibrant eyes.
My dear friend this can't be good bye.

So many times I knew,
That something was wrong.
Was there anything I could do?

Tears escape these eyes,
That you tried to keep alive.
Hush.

"Never Worry,
Never Cry.
Eventually it will be alright"

How could you speak such words,
Then just disappear.
My dear friend please be safe.

May your next life be better,
May you finally be dealt the better hand.
May fate smile upon you.

Remember when we sucked eachothers thumbs,
Or our first kiss?
Our first friendship.

My heart yerns to hear your voice,
To hold you close and not let you go.
But I am to late.

Good bye Dear Friend,
Rest now.
Close your cold, heart broken eyes.

"Through death comes eternal life"
I will miss you.
I wish I could have saved you,
As you did me.
