so just follow the street lights
and your hands keep us on the road
this conversations going nowhere
and i'm just dying to explode
my hands still are shaking
as i'm trying to shake the cold
so just follow the streetlights
and this song will guide you home

so tonight, tonight
just try to hear me out
cause these words, these words
just seem to fall out of my mouth
forming lines and sentences
analyzed at my expense
once again, its inaudible nonsense

i'm listening closely
to every word you'll say
and i'm praying tonight
that you'll let me have my way
but i'm tired and lonely
and nothing makes much sense
so lets just go to sleep tonight
and tomorrow we'll try again


i'm seeing stars in the night sky
they all remind me of you
so please tell me why
you are not here with me too
wishful thinking never got me far
