Choice...
Don't walk away
She stood there alone on top of the stairs, crying her tears out, not letting me go
I thought it was time to let her know
Those days were by where I always kept her hand
I had to work, she had to understand
Choice...
It was early morning, the door closed behind
I was ready to go, but looked at my hand
Why did I feel this shiver inside?
Could I trust those feelings of what happened to mine?
Down the stairs, I felt the agony keep coming
Those tears, they were still running
Was it fear in her eyes?
Was it really true?
It was all unrealistic, I didn't know what to do
So I walked up the road, with these thoughts in my mind
Looking at the pavement, leaving worries behind
Deep inside I knew I was failing,
If I didn't go back to true understanding
Choice...
Turning
I have the power
I have the power to choose
But fear closed my eyes, and I couldn't get loose
I thought to myself every morning,
There will be a new train coming
There is something wrong, there are someone waiting
There is a choice to be taken, I can't be mistaken
Choice...
I must take a choice...
I turned back, my feet were almost running
I stood by the door, afraid of the coming
Listening to the sound of secrets hidden away
Still I choose to look the other way
I chose to work over hours, knowing I ought to be somewhere else
Both where trying to tell me, we need you, something is wrong
But I kept on working, leaving them alone
Choice...
The story went on
Truth kept tapping me on the shoulder
I couldn't neglect it I couldn't reject it
So I opened up the door, I dared to see
The truth that was hiding, on top of the stair
It has been a fight but things turned around, when I took the right choice and left the past behind
My word of advice to the people around,
Seek help when it's needed
Seek help if you're true
To the feeling inside you
That tells you the truth
Life is worth living but not as blind
We all have a choice and so has the mind
Believe in yourself and that we all can change
But not alone and not without help
Choice...
