Light, Darkness, and In Between

written by: gilligan3

Angel enters with maiden
Angel: You shall be mine
Now and for all time
For you must follow this path
It's the one that's true and right
And what's holy is what you want in sight

A great cloud of black smoke
Appears and with it a demon
Red and horned with fire in it's eyes
Demon: Oh stupid fool you'll soon see
That this girl will want to come with me
For her hair is as dark as her soul
And without me she'll never feel whole
It's in her nature
As I'm sure
You've been told
And in the end She'll turn
My way instead of doing what she's told

Demon and Angel grasp eachother
In turmoil and struggle for the girl
The Demon bites and claws, hard with violence
The Angel swings and kicks, hovering with arrogance

Neither see the girl back away
And the stranger in wind grey
A suit of purple covers his comerade
But both appeared through a crack
In the world itself as though a shade
But color does neither lack
As they catch the young said maiden
And wisk her through the space open

As each biblical creature in turn see's her amiss
Each are mortified in this
And watch the purple clad spirit
Tip his hat and wave laughing
As he follows the man of breeze
Through their hole in the world
Then with a wink and a spin
Is gone just like that!
