puppet eyes

i never had a chance
you had no right
you did it anyway
no where to hide
you told me many times
i couldn't believe truth
you shuttered my puppet eyes
concealing that which is you
you destroyed me
you mocked me
you deceived me
i danced on your barbed strings
now i am stronger
now i can see
you only loved to hurt me
i was your dancer
i was your fool
i moved only when you
jerked the strings you pulled
i handed them to you
you promised to care
gave everything and all
your lies ever there
i was your puppet
with shuttered eyes
closed so tightly
learned not to cry
i danced so long
i wear your sin
it sticks to me
wounds show where cut again
