What is it that deceives the most inner workings of the human mind? For surely we most commonly fall victim to consorts of our own imagination. Is the mind it's own sentient being, with goals apart from our own? I would think not. Instead, I believe we often deceive ourselves out of our own fears and desires. For what better way to resist the temptations and hazards of uncharted waters, then to simply weave a lie and make yourself believe that you truly do not wish to test them? And, as such, it is when one abolishes this devolutionary reflex that one prospers. When risk is allowed to play it's fruitful game within the constructs of one's mind. When liberty is allowed to release the fetters that shackle one's desires. When truth is allowed to remove the mask that one protects oneself with. When hope is allowed to permeate the barriers of one's heart. This is when one is no longer a slave to themselves. This is when one can walk among the world in a tangible reality. This is when one can live.
