Fuck Institution. Find Happiness!

written by: QuasiLiterate

Spend your nights up late.
And be a product of your own fate.
I studied hard for those four years past.
Thinking those long days would be your last?
Spend a night a quarter past two.
Thinking this institution would get the best of you.
There is no happiness in this place of measurement.
Fuck finding yourself in better establishment.
What I remember is what matters most.
I'll spend my days reading my own prerogative.
Or seeing that girl two weeks ago, maybe another.
And wasting those nights a lush at best.
Everything revolves around these friends I've caught.
You see I won't waste my years embedded in terms.
And what I want to do with my life is your guess at best;
Don't let my major separate me from the rest.
I do what I want, and don't what I can't.
And amidst that text I find time for myself.
So hold your records to me for that matter.
Whisper your degree in my face.
I've found happiness in a much better place.
And while they continue measuring credits for success.
College is a sick joke at best, a huge assignment.
And there are only two letter grades from that right?
A: Beat the institution, succeed in life! (yey!)
F: Cardboard boxes for the rest of us, eh?
Fuck You. That's what I say.
