You ripped away my barriers
Then shredded my defenses
You had me stranded
Vulnerable, naked

Then you started to mold me
Into what you really wanted
And I let you

My stupid naivety
Led me to believe
That our love was
Mutual mutilation
Not one sided

But your walls remain in tact
And you're still in full control
When I'd lost all of mine
To you
years ago

Manipulation in the name of love
Promises of and for the future
Without a care for the present

And in the end you have the power
And I'm standing naked
Dressed only in tears
