A new beginning

written by: angelheart

She took one look at him and knew. His dark blonde hair and hazel green eyes were an instant turn-on. He disappeared for the slightest moment to grab himself a drink from the bar, then headed outside towards the pool. Angel was staring. She couldn't help herself.

She'd finally got the confidence to slip on that bikini that she'd always wanted to wear. After working out the rest of the year, she finally had the body she'd always wanted back and wasn't afraid to show it off that night. Her blond hair glistened by the torchlights in the back yard. Her crystal blue eyes were enough to distract him from his drink.

He took one look and knew he had to have her. She had on the smallest of black bikinis and had a killer body. Any guy would be lucky to have her. He wanted her all for himself " or at least for now. He tossed back the rest of his drink and decided to make his move. He slid his shirt off, and sat down on the edge of the pool, watching her. His rugged and muscular form was enough to turn a head, and he hoped it would have the same reaction on her.

Angel stood there with her friend Lila and finished their drinks. She had to think of an excuse. "Oh just go over there already," Lila said. "Now why would I do that? Like he would give me the time of day anyway," she said turning around. He was staring at her. "That's why," Lila said. "Fine. I'll go get us a refill," Angel said. She walked over towards the bar and grabbed her and Lila another glass of Zinfandel. She walked back over to hand Lila her glass. "Hey," she heard him say. She handed the glass to Lila and turned around. She walked towards him. "Did you just hey me," Angel asked. "That would be a yes," he answered. Angel sat down on the pool edge beside him. "So just what were you heying about," Angel asked. "Was wondering when you were going to come over here," he asked. "Was just talking to my friend Lila," Angel said. "So you two having fun," he asked. "Definitely," Lila said. There was an awkward silence.

"So do you know anyone else here," Angel asked trying to make small talk. "Matt's a friend of mine," he said. "And Chris is a friend of mine," Angel replied. "Well I guess it's about time we met then," he said. "Angel," she replied. "Catch," he said. "Nice to meet you Catch," Angel said. She couldn't help but smile. "Water's nice," Angel said. "Definitely is warm in there," he said. He realized that his thoughts had escaped him. He'd blurted out the one comment he never should have said. "You look like you said something wrong Catch," Angel said. She had a silly smirk. "It's nothing," he replied.

I like the story. You grab the reader and don't let go until you leave them hanging. I want to know what happens!!! I can't wait for the next installment because the end of this is a bit confusing, what's going on! Great job!
