telling mum (sarah)

written by: babeestars

The questions had been endless, "are you still in education, or do you work?"
"what do you want to do when you finish collage?"
"do you live far?"
"what are you interested in?"
"what have you been up to recently?"
the answers were straight forward yet I found it so hard to answer. But I loved it, I was with my family and they all excepted me, for me.
I got home with a massive grin on my face, my mum looked at me. "we phoned Emily, she says you were with Katie? I thought you to had stopped seeing each other?"
"We had," I replied,
"so were where you?"
"With my family," she looked at me, confused and hurt.
"I mean, you will always be my mum, and dad likewise, but I've found my biological family."
"oh, why didn't you tell me you were going to see them?"
"Because I didn't know," she looked at me even more confused.
"Were you with Katie? Did she take you?"
"I guess so,"
"what do you mean? You're not making any sense," I sighed.
"I knew who my real family were, I have for about 3 months, but only my mum knew. And she didn't want me to tell the rest of them, because she was scared. But then things went pear shaped and I had to tell."
"What do you mean?"
"Katie, is my sister, she said she couldn't see me again, its complicated, and I knew I was going to lose her, I had lost her, so I had to tell her the truth. She didn't take it well, at first she thought I was playing some stupid joke. She had said that it was goodbye forever, and when she found out, she stuck to it. Well for a month we didn't speak, but today Emily set it up, well her and Katie, to get her to meet me. She said she wanted to talk, so we went back to hers. And they were all there. All my family. Brothers, sisters, parents, uncles, aunts, cousins. And they all excepted me." I touched my new ring and smiled happily. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but I thought I had lost them so it wasn't worth explaining it, but now I know that they do want me."
"Sarah, we still want you."
"I know, and I must be the luckiest girl in the world, I have two families that love me, and that's not because my parents have split up. You will always be my mum."
she hugged me tightly and I hugged her back, and I had meant it, she realy would always be my mum, I just had another one aswell.
