goodbye forever (sarah)

written by: babeestars

The most amazing months of my life, all shattered in a single moment. I could see it all there so clearly, and then it was gone, being ripped from my finger tips. In a glance, a word, I had nothing. I could see it all being taken, and there was nothing I could do, nothing to make it stop. I replayed it over and over and over again, and every time the outcome was the same, and every time I could not stop it. "Katie?" I was shaking as she answered the phone.
"Hey, is everything ok?"
"No," I closed my eyes a single drop slipped from my eye.
"What's happened? Are you ok?"
"I need to... I ... I cant ... I ..."
"Where are you?"
"At home."
"I'm coming to see you."
"No,"
"what, why?"
"Can we meet somewhere? not here"
"ok, the river?"
"Yer,"
"20 minutes?"
"Yer" I hung up before she said anything, I sat against the wall my hands clasping my phone tightly. Each tear falling from my eye like rain from a cloud, so natural. It was like the rain that was there but you didn't seem to notice it, the rain that soaks you through, and by the time you realize it was raining so heavily it's too late. Each perfect raindrop reaching your skin, soaking through yet not even existing.
Goodbye forever, that's what she'd said to me, goodbye forever, and it wasn't the first time, but I couldn't let go of her, and her me. But this time I had no control, and neither did she. And I hated it. Goodbye forever had finally come true, and this was it, goodbye forever.
