Karen handed me the forms. I still called her mum to her face, just like Steve has still dad, but to me they weren't my mum and dad, not really. And it wasn't because I'd found my biological parents either. It was because of what they did. They had no right to stop me seeing people, and they had no right to take me away from my home. And if they really loved me like my parents should they wouldn't do it.
"I know your not happy about joining another college, but this really is the best one around the area. We applied for you, they sent these for you to fill in, and you have in interview the first week we get there."
"mum, i..."
"just look at them," she interrupted before walking out my room.
everything was packed in boxes, well most things. There wasn't much really. I was minimalistic. It didn't mean that my stuff wasn't all over the floor. I somehow managed to spread it out.
I read over the bold font at the top.
"Toptons College
The best for you"
yer right
"to understand you better please answers these few questions-"
The first page consisted of the basics, your name, age, GCSE's, chosen subjects from previous college, and how do you see yourself at the end of Toptons. For the next questions there was about half a page to answer them. These questions where more about your opinion. They were there to see how deeply you looked into things. "What are your views on abortion? Do you agree with the smoking ban? How old do you think is old enough to have sex? You found someone lying in the street, could you honestly say you would help them?" and each question my mind was brimming with answers, and I knew that half a page would not be enough for each. But I did not right down my over flowing answers, because I did not want to get into this posh school, I wanted to go to a public school just like before, not a private one where everyone would look down their noses at me and think they are better than me. I wanted to be normal.
