Optimism,Realism or Pessimism?

I would like to focus this piece on something that really bothers me:What is better Optimism,Realism or Pessimism?
Is it better to blindly believe everything is peachy and great.That no sorrow or hurt will enter our life if we just shut the door in there faces.That life can all be sunshine and roses if we want it to be.I don't believe in Destiny but I certainly don't think that my life will be perfect just because I want it to be.Do you?
Or is it better to view the world from a different prospective?I think describing realism is the most difficult of all because it has no defined meaning just opinions.In my opinion realism is accepting that good and bad both exist in this world and we have to learn to live with them but at the same time refusing to go to extremes -instead we just fighting to make our lives what we want them to be and not just accept what other people tell us.Do you feel the same way?
Because if you don't then the next way of life is believing that our lives are an endless black hole of depression and only pain and misery are present-at the same time forgetting that pain is sometimes there to remind us that something is wrong with us and we need pain to keep ourselves alive.Pessimists do not open their eyes to the fact that beauty does indeed lie in the eyes of the beholder and they can be happy if they allow themselves to be.Of course not all can be judged so harshly perhaps some of us do have such a tough life that we forget about the beauty in this world.Life probably hasn't handed you any sweets but does that mean we lose hope.How do you feel about this?
