Perfection

written by: Electra

How many of you long for a perfect life or perfect grades or even perfect hair? Why is it that we all want perfection? What really is perfection? It isn't a thing or object that you can hold in your hand-then why are we all searching for it.Do our lives or happiness depend on being perfect?Because if it doesn't then why do we all want it so badly.Of course we are all aware of the fact that perfection doesn't exist in the world-then why is it that we want something that does not EXIST?We are all so quick to remind the smug guy at our school or work place that 'Nobody is perfect' then why is it that we all aspire for it?Personally perfection is a waste of time-I would be bored out of my mind if I had a perfect life without problems. This may sound a little crazy but it's the problems that make our life interesting. It's the struggle we go through to solve our problems that make us stronger or wiser. Then why is it that we all want to be rid of our problems by being perfect. This may sound hypocritical but I relish the challenge the problems bring along with them-of solving it.If I was perfect how would I learn because then I would make no mistakes because we learn from our mistakes not our successes!

Really , good writing , but a little bite boring ......... , you are a really good writer , but you need more passion , ( sorry for being honest , and thanks a lot for reading my comment ) bye , by the way ( that's one of the most popular topics ) .

I agree that it is well written and a popular topic, but I disagree that it was boring. If anything I would simply say that it is not perfect, and it doesn't need to be. I think that was the point.

Hey Electra,

I loved this writing. To me...this is a great commentary. It's not a story or poem...it's a piece of writing that is meant to make you reflective on the topic. I found it very complimentary to a piece I wrote about Dreams...actually the first writing I ever posted here on WIF. I found this piece you wrote to be thought provoking and I believe that is what you were looking for! Good job!
