Fork of Characters

There is absolute silence as you walk along the beaten path. You stop suddenly coming to a fork in the road. To your left appears a character dressed in a black robe. A hood is raised so the character's face is hidden. Behind the character is an eerie darkness. There is safety there but yet it is cold and it reaches past the skin to the heart where it grabs and tugs.
On your right, another character appears, dressed in a white robe. This face is also hidden but behind the chracter is a warm bright light that stretches into the darkness around you. It also clings to your heart tugging gently. You struggle with each emotion, fighting for peace until it altogether stops. You look back up to see both figures slowly extend a hand for you to take. To choose whom to follow. You look from one to the other and than decide...
